For the love of tuna

Don’t you love it when your kid bolts out of the classroom and you’re running after her because she doesn’t normally do this and I have no clue where she’s going….I see a mainstream teacher and ask her to stop the kid and she does nothing …. just looks at me like I’m crazy. #autismlife 🤦🏼‍♀️ but I caught her obviously. Good thing I keep my cardio up!

Backtrack …. this all started because I said she had to eat her tuna so naturally she bolted out of the classroom screaming down the hall “I don’t want tunnnnnaaaaaaa”.

I love when a kid remembers me!!!

So today at recess one of my favourite kids that I worked with last year (yes I have favourites…) came up to me intertwining his hands in mine. It was a sweet moment of him saying I miss you and I remember you! It makes my day when this happens! Then I felt that his hand was wet and I noticed a giant green booger coming out of his nose. I pulled away quickly because it was gross and elbowed another kid in the face by accident. Working with kids when you’re a germaphobe has its challenges at times!
